BLENHEIM PALACE, 1 NOVEMBER 1997

Production Designer Shaun Moore and his Family

On the left, near side of the table, is Grumpuss production designer Shaun Moore (who won the 1997 Royal Television Society's Design Award). Next to him is his 12-year-old daughter, Rosie, who loves to read and studies languages (my kind of girl), and his 17-year-old son, Joseph, now studying Catering Administration in Oxford (who probably enjoyed the banquet at least as much as the show). On the opposite side of the table from left to right, that's Shaun's 10-year-old daughter, Lara, a keen gymnast (so you know she had a good time!), his 19-year-old son, Aaron, a musician and sportsman pursuing Cultural Studies with Media at Leeds University and Shaun's wife, Rachel, a speech pathologist who employs computers and sign language in her work in non-verbal communication with severely disabled children. They are a wonderful and inspiring family, and with their several special interests, made bright and enthusiastic guests. If attending the World Premiere of Grumpuss was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for them, it was every bit as great a joy for me.
